This will serve as your template. We’ll be asking for a version of this song with your added track.

2. Play and Record
We’re looking for additions that will enhance the sound of Doyoudonotsee? – namely a bassline and a guitar riff. But we’re also open to additional instrumental or vocal additions that will enhance the existing energy of the song.
Feel free to make your submissions as simple as a looped riff or as complex as a song-length performance.* No need to mix or master, we’ll take care of that. Remember that there’s no need to overpower the track or work extra hard to flex your skills. Just do what’s best for the song.
Here’s some artistic direction:
*Although we plan to introduce music production guides in the future, this time around contributions are requested from Musicians who already understand the basics of laying a track. Feel free to use the platform of your choice (i.e. Pro Tools, Garageband)
3. Submit your work by March 5, 2010
We’ll need two soundfiles from you:
a) The complete version of Doyoudonotsee? with your contribution embedded (MP3 or AAC preferred)
b) A solo track of your contribution (WAV preferred)

The Selection Process
We’ll combine bass, guitar, and additional submissions to create 3 possible variations for a final version. On March 5 we’ll post the 3 variations and open it up for a vote. The variation with the most number of votes will be the final version.
Distribution
The final version of the track will be featured on a collaborative project with music destination Blind I For the Kids, and digitally distributed as a free download. We’ll also be considering this track for our episodic LP, iB4the1, which will also be free. Why? Because. Happy free music time!
Compensation, Credit, and License
Because this track will be distributed free of charge, we will not be making money through record sales. However, we do believe that artists should be compensated for their work, and have provided the option for Listeners to contribute funds that will be directly split among the Musicians whose contributions are selected for the final work.* In addition, all finalist Musicians will be licensed though Creative Commons for their variations of Doyoudonotsee?.
*Please keep in mind that this is our first time doing anything like this, so we have no idea how much Listeners will be open to contribute. As a result, we ask that all contributors understand that, while our intention is to develop a platform that’s profitable for artists, at this point we cannot guarantee a substantial monetary compensation (i.e. we’re very much doing this for the love of it).
